I think there is a lot of overthinking going on. Until Hodge tells us we don't know what his defined rolls with either or both will be.

He may have in place the building blocks for RLTR at this point and this additional opportunity has now presented itself.

Plus, we aren't talking about being COB of GM or Google. These are small companies.

I like what Hodge has done up to this point at RLTR. I think you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't see him doing anything that will undermine the progress made here. I am comfortable with this until I read something that says otherwise.
