Blackberry Up 1.5% In U.S. Pre-Mkt Trade As Says Several Canadian Customers Deploying Its Enterprise Mobility Solutions

09:22 AM EDT, 04/16/2014 (MT Newswires) -- Embattled smartphone maker BlackBerry Limited(BBRY) on Wednesday said several leading Canadian customers are deploying BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10), including: Volker Stevin, City of Waterloo and Samuel, Son & Co., Limited. Blackberry cites J.Gold Associates as saying over the next year or two the average enterprise user will employ three to five personal devices and use eight to 10 business applications.

Meanwhile, Forbes is reporting that BlackBerry CEO John Chen is looking to get the company more focused on software and services while reducing its reliance on smartphones, as part of a turnaround strategy that he thinks will take about two years to show results.
