Nice country up there in "down East Maine". Lots of foreclosures if you look around. I have a friend that just bought a house on tax sale, it was full of EVERYTHING, you name it. He paid 24G for the place on 1/2 acre city lot with water and sewer. It is sub-dividable to make another lot. He made more than he paid for it in selling off the contents. He has bought over a million dollars worth of property at city assessments for under a couple hundred grand. He is a contractor so he has people to fix them up and materials left over from other places. Bright guy. It is available most anywhere if you have the balls to do it.
