fazoolius -- look, I am not going to waste my time in a pointless argument -- believe as you will, the simple threshold question of whether AGW is occurring has been answered, and the totality of the data is unambiguous that the answer is yes it is, plain as day -- all the further more detailed data collection and analysis and work to model is ongoing, of course -- but something is going on, and we definitely need to understand it better so we can better anticipate how things might go from here

and of course, the AGW signal is only part of the whole picture -- of course it's quite possible, I would tend to think quite likely, that the cooling signal from a prolonged solar minimum event would counter or overwhelm the AGM signal -- hell, if we knew such an event were imminent, and also really understood just what and where and how rapid its effects would be, we might be looking for more shit to burn right now -- in an earlier I was just making the counterpoint observation, which I'll restate at the extreme here as, prior prolonged solar minima don't appear to have done Venus much good -- we don't know that a prolonged solar minimum would necessarily significantly or permanently mitigate a major further increase in the atmosphere's heat-trapping efficiency

there's all kinds of interesting stuff to discuss when it comes to weather and climate -- but I am not about to be pushed into wasting my time proving I can swat down long-since definiteively discredited bullshit about whether AGW is happening

and sorry about my earlier -- yup, had to yank one of my own (not the first time, lol) -- at this point I just don't have much patience left for psuedo-science agitprop trying to lobby that there is no or might not be any AGW ongoing -- that's 'the earth is flat' and 'the sun revolves around the earth' stuff at this point
