Please re-read the lesson and pay particularly attention to how you measure the strength of a trend..and how you use the +DI and -DI lines. Now normally the ADX is measured in 14 sessions but you can manipulate that number. While in stockcharts I encourage you to move the session number from 14 to 7 and look at the ADX. Now move the session from 7 to the last 4 sessions and look what is happening. You see the strenght of the downtrend coming to an end very clearly and you are seeing the +DI line begin to cross the -DI line.
