I don't know why this continues to sell off but I think once the reversal starts it will last a long time with at least the next 3 q's being profitable. I think past results were much lumpier with great quarters immediately followed by bad quarters thwarting momentum. I think this will be the first time at least 3 q's in a row will be profitable and 4 q's from now is far enough away that who knows what that will look like?

My regret is starting to buy too early but I still believe this will likely be a big winner over time.

The only thing I have heard that I would consider a negative is that the CEO is retiring and they are searching for a new CEO.

There is the info about the trial combined with the Bavarian Nordic drug but that seemed like a problem for the other.

At this point, I wish I had never seen it and mentioned it here. It makes no sense to me.

If not for the known revs and profits that are coming I would just dump it and move on.

I think the next 3 q's should result in large profits and that is based on current info. More contracts or dividend announcements would increase the projections. INRD filing might result in some increases in PPS.

SIGA - I have been looking into this a little more. There is only one analyst covering this and said analyst has $175 mil as projected 2023 revs and $1.05 eps as projected earnings. Industry norm is a p/e of about 17. Seems like a no brainer at current prices. The recent large order from U.S. govt could be duplicated by other governments as well.

It appears that the huge spike to $26 last year was aided by monkeypox media scare and not just earnings.

Last year they paid two .45 quarterly divs. They had one in the 1st q so maybe another in the 2nd. They have plenty of cash. Also have been buying and cancelling shares over the last year.

They have 2nd q earnings and conference call scheduled for the 8th. Not expecting a huge q but guidance for the 3rd and 4th q's should be enough to increase interest here. IMO

The short term positive aspect of out of control spending is some percentage of that finds it's way into the market. 1.8 trillion has been added to the debt just since the recent debt ceiling compromise(a compromise between two wolves over how they will split the sheep). That is equal to the amount of debt that was accumulated over the 1st 209 years of the nations existence.

I think part of the reason that the "new world order" stocks have achieved such astronomical valuations is a prediction by "big money" that they will benefit from a failing economy as their smaller remaining competitors are wiped out and they achieve pricing power and a growing customer base.

There is no longer a correlation between stock market gains and the overall economy because we are no longer a free market.

VEV - I don't know if this one has been mentioned before. It has moved from the .80's to $1.20's in the last week or so. They have an enormous backlog and have just built a facility in Washington state to assemble these EV vehicles. There has been a person on Yahoo visiting the site and posting progress on the Yahoo board. 2nd half of the year is supposed to be profitable so probably worth adding to the watch list.

I should have mentioned the numbers reported are in canadian dollars so adjustments must be made accordingly and they mentioned withholding for non-canadians. At what rate? And do you have to file a Canadian return to be refunded the withholding? Something new I have never run into.

They announced a 9 mil deal a couple of weeks ago and it appears that the bulk of it was paid up front and reported in the 2nd q. There was about 3 mil of additional revs included in the 2nd q and about 4 mil remaining from the deal.

As you said it will probably tread higher leading to Aug 14th.

PLSDF - Nice earnings, regular div and .15 special div to be paid without a long wait. Stock buy backs too.

They referred to the remaining 19% of wagz as a passive investment. They sold the rest for a dollar. Just an incredibly boneheaded use of funds and there is plenty of reason for skepticism of management but I think the wagz investment will show up on the balance sheet as an asset and the only lingering exposure is the loan they gave them as well as if they ever sell the remaining 19% then they will have a loss that will be listed as discontinued operations.

This is what would make sense to me anyway and I could be wrong and maybe someone else has a more informed answer.

Going forward there is a almost 400 mil backlog to start the year so they should be stacking up huge q's in the future as long as the supply chain supports filling the orders on a timely basis. Unless they pull another boneheaded move. 2024 net income of $1.50 seems possible to me. I guess we will find out over time.

SDPI is a wild ride today. I wonder what is going on.
