First, I want to apologize for the delay in posting this message. About eight days ago, I struck a bear cub in the Klamath Mountains and pretty much decimated my car. The airbags deployed and the end result wasn't pretty. Because I have to travel a long distance to have online access, I have not been able to post this retraction. So, it wasn't because of my unwillingness to post, rather, it was due to outside influences. I'm not used to looking for wildlife along freeways, you know. I had to travel to Vegas to speak with a company so I decided to write this at a public library along the freeway.
The real reason I broke my silence on MIKP is this. I, without reservation, categorically retract all statements I have made in regards to Mike The Pike Productions, whether viewed as good or bad by the shareholders, the company or unnamed individuals. This includes character references, references regarding the ongoing operations of the company or any information whether willingly or unwillingly given on this board, in emails or in conversations with any individuals who have a vested interest in Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. or the stock symbol MIKP traded on the Penny Stock/OTC.
As of two weeks ago, I relocated nearly 3,000 miles away. I closed my company, changed my name, closed my email accounts, dropped my cell phone and have quite literally dropped off the face of the planet. In short, I don't want to be found. Not only am I finished with publicly traded companies, I am finished with the entertainment business. I have absolutely no desire to ever work in the industry again for my own personal reasons. Weeks ago, I decided that I never want to know what is going on with MIKP, it's officers or employees and I have followed through on those decisions. I am stating all of this to end my relationship with MIKP on a public note and to fulfill the agreement with the executive officers of the company. This post is most definitely my last and absolutely will not occur again. I didn't even want to come back to this web site but I made a promise and above all, I follow through on my agreements.
To the shareholders and the company, I wish you well. Make tons of money and forget you even knew me.
I apologize.
Thanks.
Dying to try it.
Honestly Legion, I have no opinion either way about Newbauer or MIKP. And even though my company is no longer on retainer for MIKP, I will not bash them on their efforts. It is what it is and they are who they are. At LEAST they are working towards an end though I wonder exactly what your personal goal is. That is something that has never exactly been made clear through your constant bashing and snide remarks. Despite all of that, take care of yourself, Legion. I truly wish you well.
I agree.
I am no longer affiliated with MIKP and will never be again. My opinions were exactly that and everyone knows what they say about opinions. Everyone has one.
MIKP was my first experience with a publicly traded entity and I can assure you that I will never make that mistake again. I prefer private and confidential. It's the only way to sanity.
This is the last post I am making on this web site or any web site regarding MIKP. I have had my fill, in spades.
Positive wishes to you all and I hope that MIKP produces the income that you all DESERVE. Take care.
No worries, Whopper. Sorry I came off like that.
I thought you were being mean.
With what New?
Thanks, Zn.
Mark does not post on IHub.
But thanks for the incorrect assumption, Legion. Again, I might add. You seem to be the master at assumptions. If only you could back it up with FACTS-helpful ones at that, you might prove to be a worthwhile asset to this board. Somehow, I think that might prove impossible though.
Live From The ATL
It's free to ladies on a normal night, before 11. However, for special events, it's generally 40 to 300. They collected 100-300 pp for the BET event-which had the same level of entertainment that we do for this event.
Also, for anyone bashing a listening party, you need to understand that an event like Diddy is different from a concert. It's better in many ways. Instead of being one in 30,000, you are paying for the right to be in an "intimate" venue of 2000+ with one of the hottest selling hip hop artists of all time. Think about this. 100,000,000 units sold over five albums. FIVE. What does this mean for us? A draw like no other...minus Jay-Z, I think. So you take an upscale superclub that offers first class service and VIP amenities then add Hip Hop royalty and it equals success and big, big money. Maybe more importantly than that, it gets us into the scene in the Hip Hop mecca of ATL-starting big and keeping MTPP at the forefront of the Hip Hop scene in this town. And let's make this clear. Hip Hop and R&B are the ONLY scenes in the A that matter.
Excuse my earlier post. I incorrectly stated that the Velvet Room had capacity for 800. It actually did...in the old Velvet Room in Midtown. Some time ago, that club was taken out by a tornado that went through Atlanta and so the Gidewon family rebuilt the club on Chamblee-Tucker. The actual capacity of the new Velvet Room is closer to 2500. Last night, I was looking around in the club and I couldn't understand why the listed cap was 800. So, it makes sense that the information I had was for the former club, not the present one. Mystery solved.
We hope to see y'all at the Velvet Room ATL on Thursday December 3rd. Thanks.
You are my hero, Dollar. ;)
Uh, actually I mean CNN.Money, dude. AND I assume you trust Forbes, right?

$30,000,000 a year is NOT the income of a has been. In fact, it's more than the 8.4 Million that Brittany Spears made in her hay day. Does that put it in perspective for you, Jack?
I concur, Mo.
Don't know, D. Just keep an eye out on the web site. It will be more assistance than I could be, I would think. Hope you are well. ;)
Thank you Z. I appreciate the good vibes.
I have a free account so I cannot respond to private messages. FYI. I'm not purposely ignoring anyone.
I'm leaving for the ATL in about 24 hours. Wish us well in promoting this event to the masses. The VIP invite list is extensive but we will still need to attract a multitude of people for the event. No worries there, though. Diddy attracts them all by himself.
LOL, Whopper. Try this info. I hope it helps you. These days, Hip Hop has exploded. We are leagues ahead of the days of Run DMC. In fact, Hip Hop (in sales) has tripled over the likes of Rock and Roll which was the genre that has held the top post for decades...before that, it was Jazz.
I'm still laughing over the Bo thing, though. That was a good one! ;)

You are absolutely correct, Thurston. No promoter is going to publicize their contractual obligations. While transparency is what the investors want, it's not in the best interest of anyone involved-MINUS the investors. We wouldn't be able to book anyone if we were that public about our shows. From what I understand (though still learning) there are very few rules regarding what a pink can do. Why investors continually request information that is not required for MIKP to divulge is beyond me. Just be happy that we are producing and that we are picking up A List entertainment.
FYI. It is VERY difficult to sign Diddy. This is a coup, for sure.
Yeeeaaaahhh. I'm pretty sure there will be more than 800 in house. Look for the numbers when Jay-Z was in the club.
To my knowledge, not at all. She's doing her own thing at IU these days, I think.
I will pass that along to him.
I didn't comment on forward projects. Simply about ideals, integrity and the characters of the people I work with and that is completely legal. Period.
I would like to answer a few posts that I haven't been able to reply to for a few days. First, I am NOT Mark Newbauer. Mark doesn't post on this board at all.
I cannot remain neutral and it would be a conflict of interest to speak highly of the company and highly of the stock potential if I owned stock in the company. Within two weeks or so, I will stop posting on this board because I will buy in. The reason I haven't purchased stock is that my income from MTPP is low. I didn't take this position to make rock star money, I took it to have the opportunity to help build a company. I think that my income would be better spent on my children, not on company stock at this time.
Also... no, this staff does not "party". Anyone who insinuates that all we do is "run around and party" is foolish and ignorant. What we often do is work until 7pm at the office and in my case, work at home. For instance, with the exception of occasional posts on this board, I can honestly say that I work 7 days a week. For the last two hours, I have been working on letters and packages. I'm not going to go into detail about it but that's generally what my position entails. And no, I don't work in the mail room. I'm sure Biggerstaff was just hoping to jump all over that comment.
Believe it or not, I don't really care if you believe that I work for MIKP. Believe, don't believe...it's your call. But I can say that I am in the picture that is featured on the new web site.
And LynnGood, 32 weeks? Are you kidding me? ooookay. Let's just say that you are correct (which you aren't). I did a show with Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes and Plain White T's. We had six weeks of radio advertising and sold out 22,000+ seats. Flyers, radio and word of mouth in a month and a half. 8 months? Really? I'm glad I don't work for the company that you worked for. That's ridiculous. I would go insane talking about the same show for 8 months. What? Is Fall Out Boy not considered a "national act"? I'm pretty sure they are...
Before I say this, know that I haven't voiced this opinion to anyone in the office because it hasn't been brought up. I think a counter on the web site would not be beneficial to the event. While the shareholders are curious as to how many people are attending the event, it's important to hold the format steady in the same manner as America's Got Talent. AGT doesn't have a counter, we shouldn't either.
Okay, Lynn. Again. You are misquoting me. I simply stated that if you have an issue with a company, to please post your issues on the board that deals with that company. EESO is not Mike The Pike Productions, Inc.
You say that you have experience in this industry. So, you understand how difficult it is-even with fabulous connections. This is not the kind of company that dials in an order to Office Depot and can expect to pick up their merchandise in a timely manner. There are negotiations with the agent that takes time. Attempting to find a hole in the schedule or when they are on their way to a booking but will pass by your target venue. If it were up to the promoters, booking an artist would be like setting an appointment but it does not happen that way. The first step, as you know, is to actually speak to the agent. That is no easy task. It doesn't matter what your budget for the event is or how organized you are. Agents handle numerous acts and finding the time to book those acts is clearly difficult with a few of the larger agencies. They tend to handle the ones with the highest demand first and deal with the smaller ones later which is a problem if a promoter is looking to book a smaller act versus say, a stadium filler.
I did not say that you could not book an event prior to the six to eight week window. But it's absolutely possible to book the event and allow significant time for marketing and advertising within the eight week timetable to insure a solid turn out for your event. At the former company, we NEVER planned a show outside of the eight week window...and sold out the second show we produced. 22,000 people heard about our show and attended that particular event.
As far as the announcement regarding the next two shows, I would suggest gaining that information from the individuals who are responsible for that job function. I do not create the schedules as I have said before.
You cannot properly judge a concert promoter based on four months of activity. And, if you truly have experience in this field, then you would already know that, Lynn. So relax and know that the company is working diligently towards our next events. We want the company to make money just as much as you do. I don't have to own shares of stock to want us to succeed. For me personally, it's bigger than that.
Wow, Hope. I have been posting and responding to questions about character and experience. Not about operational costs and net profit. I would suggest waiting for that kind of information from the individuals who know the facts and the figures and who would best provide you the concrete information that you require.
And for the last time, while I appreciate that you believe that full disclosure of my personal information is necessary, I still reserve the right of privacy on a very public board in a very public medium. In other words, I am not trying to convince you and my personal information is frankly none of your concern.
Believe what you want to believe, I am simply stating facts and the truth about MN and MIKP. Talk about stock, agree or disagree about the direction of the company. Whatever. But do not attack the CEO's personal reputation-or the reputations of the major investors who are behind us, believe in us and give us the ability to do what we love.
Oh and one last note. When I post on this board, I do it from my home. Every time. I have never posted while at work and I am not on the proverbial time clock when I do it. So my income information is again, none of your concern. Thanks.
I would say that you are incorrect as to my job function with MIKP. I am neither the booking agent nor one of the individuals responsible for the creation of our schedule. However, I do have experience with this side of the industry and have therefore provided you with a professional opinion based on that experience with regards to Mark Newbauer's abilities as the CEO of Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. And please, do yourself a favor and repress the urge to draw assumptions of my past affiliations and work experience. Leaving my former entertainment company on my own volition may not make sense to someone who does not work in this industry but I can assure you that it was a solid move for my own personal reasons.
The industry standard for a well planned event is six to eight weeks. IGT for instance, falls within that timetable. It is rare that a concert is planned out a year in advance so the timetable you are referring to regarding university events would be limited mostly to seminars and things of that nature. So basically, you are comparing apples to oranges. The events are planned differently and cannot (and should not) be compared.
I do not like posters who bring up EESO because this board is dedicated to Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. I am simply suggesting you find the board that deals with this entity and post your comments there, so as to not confuse potential new investors with your nonsense.
Oh and not to be a jerk but the word is "flea", fyi.
Also, I'm not attempting to manipulate the stock price one way or the other which is the least that I can say about other individuals on this board. I am simply stating information that has already been released by the company or speaking of events that have already been mentioned on this board by WeAreLegion and the rest of your buddies, Lynn. I am well within my rights and I am adhering to all applicable laws and frankly, that's all that matters at the moment. It's called an opinion-one that I am allowed to voice regardless of who I work for as long as I follow the rules. To help with this, I've included the following information:
o·pin·ion (-pnyn)
n.
1. A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof.
2. A judgment based on special knowledge and given by an expert: a medical opinion. (read: professional opinion)
3. A judgment or estimation of the merit of a person or thing.
Thanks.
Yes. That is accurate. But, I'm pretty sure that Mike The Pike Productions, Inc is MIKP. Correct? Again, you'll forgive me for staying on topic and speaking about the company that is being traded under the stock symbol MIKP and posting on the board dedicated to Mike The Pike Productions, Inc.
Other companies do not interest me, his past companies do not interest me and I feel that discussion of other companies on this particular board, when relating to the functioning of Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. and our ongoing projects is at best underhanded.
There are a few posters on this board, you included, that love to speak about past projects and possible questionable activities relating to the organization of a certain company. And, I would like to remind you all that the company that you have targeted is not Mike The Pike Productions, Inc but rather, a different company that has nothing to do with the day to day operations of my employer. So when you make disparaging, unethical and libelous statements regarding Mike The Pike Productions, Inc., perhaps you would be better served if you could find the board of the company you have an issue with and post it there, where it belongs.
And, to answer another question on the board earlier, none of my posts were discussed with or approved by Mark Newbauer, I am not getting paid for these posts in any way and I can assure you that the posts that I have placed on this board are reviewed by a close friend who is also the attorney for my former company. I should mention that not only are my replies saved and reviewed but the posts that I reply to are handled in the same manner.
Regarding the release of personal information on the internet, I do not intend on providing names, dates or locations of previous shows or information regarding my former company. What I will tell you is this. I've worked in the entertainment industry for four years as a concert promoter. I've worked with A List entertainment in national events in Hip Hop, Pop and was the sole promoter for a major political event that featured a Presidential Candidate in 2008. I interviewed with this company and was hired on the spot for a reason. My interactions with Mark Newbauer are not based on nor do they have any relevance to my posts. I am judged on my performance for my job duties at Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. and nothing more, rightfully so. In fact, I do not own stock in this particular company. If I did, I wouldn't be discussing the company or Mark Newbauer's management skills in the first place. You incorrectly stated that Mark had "zero management skills" and I replied. So twist away, Legion. You've met your match. You give the conspiracies and I will provide the facts. Good enough?
Again. It is my opinion based on my experiences with this company. See my earlier post to Legion.
Well, thank you for noticing that it is in fact, a public board in which shareholders gather to discuss this particular stock. Also, it's important to remember that non shareholders can in fact, sign up and post on this board, as well. If I was making official statements on behalf of the company, I would have started with an introduction. I'm simply offering my own opinion. I freely admitted to being employed by this company from the get go. My personal information or my job title is not necessary. To my knowledge, I have followed all terms of service for this web site and all applicable laws. I am simply defending a solid company with great leadership-because I see it every single day. Do you? So, I am not (what the SEC calls them) a Paid Promoter for the stock. In fact, I give you an opinion based on my experiences.
I'm an employee who has grown tired of the twisted game of telephone that has been occurring on this board. Misinformed statements and pure conjecture are posted on this board by individuals of questionable motives and then a story is spun from the libelous foundation of misinformation that preceded it. Enough is enough.
As far as Mark's communication with his shareholders regarding the forward motion of the company, it's a tough balance. He's doing his best at keeping the shareholders informed while planning events and maintaining some kind of base confidentiality. There's more to events than just throwing groups together and expecting success. There has to be a formula and Mark has it together. All I am asking for is for you to have a little faith in the process and loosen the leash. There is a reason why companies put out fourth quarter reports. To inform the shareholders, correct? In depth discussion of projects in development is not a wise business decision in this industry. But keeping your shareholders informed is. Understand what I'm saying?
I have nothing to do with Investor Relations.
I didn't know Mark Newbauer or anyone associated with Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. before I started this position. I'm not the kind of guy to speak positively about the character or integrity of an individual based on family ties or friendship. I'll just tell you how it is.
As much as I am able to.
Wow.
I can't help but wonder how you would know anything at all about Mark's management skills. Let me explain how I know that you have been misinformed about his leadership and insight. I started with this company some time ago. I've been in the business for a number of years, running my own privately held company so when this opportunity presented itself in Fort Wayne, I jumped on it. A promoter at this level rarely exists in small markets-generally you have to reside on the West Coast or New York to achieve this level of entertainment. Unfortunately, it would seem that there are individuals of questionable ethics in the entertainment business but-and I can assure you that I can pick them out a mile away-Mark Newbauer is an insightful, inspiring and caring Boss who does not possess the character traits that the people on this board condemn him for.
By insightful, I mean taking a concept and then following through on it, constantly looking for ways to make it better and profitable, all at the same time. This is the kind of employer who is so rare, so human and so brilliant-that his staff is devoted to him. We want this company to succeed and there is not one person in that office who would not move mountains for Mike The Pike Productions, Mark Newbauer and most importantly, the shareholders. So, Mr. Biggerstaff, I'll tell you what. Tell me how much you invested in this company and I'll match it. Why? Because this company is going somewhere and 2010 is going to put this company on the map. If you sell now, it would be a mistake. Oh and one other thing. We couldn't do it without Mark Newbauer. He is the lifeblood and the foundation of this company who sets the bar. You Sir, only continue to draw lines in the sand with no follow through.
I loved my company. I loved doing my job. But nothing compares to working for this company. I would suggest you do your homework before posting anymore statements of a personal nature and concentrate on why we are here in the first place. The stock. Thanks.
