I believe Releasing 7900000 shares diluted the stocks value. 80000 shares were purchased by insiders last week!!

I found this graphite company in Alabama of all places. (ABGPF)

Apparently they're going after the Chinese monopoly on Coated-Spherical-Purified-Graphite (CSPR). They've developed a Spheronization process for creating spherical graphite from their own mine without using hydrofluoric, hydrochloric, sulfuric or nitric acids.
They've also developed a proprietary specialty manufacturing process for surface coating the graphite. Which means they can now produce their own batteries without Chinese graphite.

They're claiming the largest Graphite Mineral Resource in the USA. Mineral leases cover 43,000 acres on Private land.

The 85 kWhr battery in the Tesla model S would then require an estimated 700lbs of Coated Spherical Graphite and 34 lbs of Lithium. One of these is a bigger problem than the other... lol

LIX is one of the bigger Lithium players and I guess I'm being impatient here but I don't like the chart right now where it seems to have broken a short term uptrend. I don't know if this new little uptick is going take it much higher but volume has slowed down too.

Now that I'm out the stock will soar...lol!

Spherical Graphite Market

Initially, -100 US mesh natural graphite is milled to produce spherules before being chemically purified to over 99.95% carbon to produce uncoated spherical graphite.
Typically, two to three tonnes of feedstock is required to produce one ton of spherical graphite. The by product of the process yields high quality carbon additives that are used in the steel making.

Currently China dominates the uncoated spherical graphite market (90%). And Japan dominates the coated portion of the spherical graphite market, purchasing 100% of their uncoated material from China.

But Elon wants all of the minerals and metals to come from N. America. As it turns out A Eagle Graphite (EGA) in BC produces -100 mesh and -150 mesh flake graphite.

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence is forecasting demand in spherical graphite for the anode market to increase from 80,000 tpa in 2015 to at least 250,000 tpa by the end of 2020, That's a 200% jump in the next four years as global cell production surges.

What we need are American companies to do the milling and coating.

Spherical Graphite? Got any companies to look at?

Probably should pay attention to sources for spherical graphite too... since Elon thinks his battery should be called a Nickle-Graphite battery.

Looks like Sienna's partner in crime, Cruz Capital CUZ.V is having a good day. As of 12:03 0.58 up 9.43%.

Cobalt is another ingredient needed in lithium batteries so these two make a good pair.

I found out from my daughter's boyfriend, who works at a local Michelin plant, that they use cobalt in tire production! Whoda thunk it?

I know that's all OT but it is all related in the bigger picture.
