Saddened to learn of the passing of Len Dawson. He was arguably the first sports icon in the history of KC. He will forever be Lenny the Cool.

Watson gets 11 games and 5 million in fines. Time to move on. The NFL gives him 6 games to make the PO. I think Bassett will do better than people thing. I say they will be 7-4 when Watson returns. Provided he doesn't get another HEM

On several occasions, a black person committed a crime, a police officer tried to arrest him, the suspect resisted arrest, and the officer was forced to kill him. This suggests to me that I should not break the law and not resist arrest. The woke crowd concludes that the police are murdering black people. We appear to be, but are not, content with this situation, so the woke crowd believes we are racist.
The woke crowd is putting pressure on us to believe we are a racist country. From 2016 to 2019, a few NFL players took a knee during the Star-Spangled Banner to say this country is racist. The pressure became so intense that the NFL now accommodates them. This year, the Black National Anthem is played before games. Most players either kneel or stay in the locker room during the real National Anthem. These players must believe that this country is racist. Since we are citizens, they must believe we are racist.
Almost all of them are millionaires. They worked hard at their profession and rose to the top. They are a typical American success story. They now get money and fame. We enjoy watching them play and contributing to their wealth. They should be grateful that they live in this country.
Instead of gratitude, the players are using their fame to call attention to their low opinion of the fans, their customers. The natural fan response is to boycott the games. Since the first kneeling by Colin Kaepernick in 2016, attendance and television ratings have gone down. In our first COVID-19 season, there are virtually no fans at the stadium. This decline will affect income.
The players will find that there is not enough money to support their large salaries. They will be forced to take smaller contracts. There may be fewer teams or fewer players per team. Some of these players will lose their jobs.
The prospects for these players are not good outside football. Many of them have had dealings with the law. They may find that their next uniform has stripes.
Other players have four years of college under their belts, but they have no real education. They may become construction workers. This is a hard job, and it pays only a middle-class salary. After ten or so years, they may become injured and forced to take worker's compensation. They will have spent as many years in construction as they would have spent in the NFL. They will leave the job as physically broken down as the typical former football player and have far less money to show for it.
Personally, I do not see myself watching football anymore. When Michael Vick (AKA the dog-killer) played for the Philadelphia Eagles, I refused to watch Eagles games. How can I now watch games that start with the players calling me a racist? In addition, my favorite team, the former Redskins, now refuse to use that name due to political correctness. How can I admire my football heroes when I think of them as cowards?
The players, and the woke crowd in general, should realize that it is not murder when the suspect resists arrest and the officer is left with no choice. Even if the officer is racist, this does not indict the entire police department. To believe otherwise is prejudicial thinking. Even if one local police department is corrupt, this does not indict all police departments. Even if all of the police departments are corrupt, this does not indict the federal government. The federal government has nothing to do with local government.
The woke crowd does not realize that we have a federal system. This separation of powers is what keeps tyrants from having a lot of power. What would ruin this is if someone were elected U.S. president promising to fix the police problem by bringing all of government into a single umbrella that he (or she, Kamala) controls

Wow, it took me awhile ---- had to look way back in the FFB archives (outside of our league) ------ first year (2020) in 18 years NOT playing FFB !

I'd often thought there would be FFB withdrawal symptoms ---- but, with the help of a pandemic and no LIVE sports, I've become accustomed to sitting out. Couple all of that with the BLM / social issues injected into sports world ----- the timing is right.

In closing, THANKS for all who were a part, over many seasons, of the IHub League ------ hope you all stay safe & live long/prosper !

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports Rob Gronkowski has gone from Super Bowl title to WWE title.
Not only was Gronk named the host for WrestleMania 36, which took place over two days this weekend for the first time, but he also got involved in the competition.
After the Edge-Randy Orton match, Mojo Rawley ran into the ring and was chased by a bunch of a wrestlers. Out of nowhere, Gronk jumped on top of the pile and pinned Rawley to win the 247 Championship.

Being the 247 Champion means that Gronk will now have to watch his back at all times because other wrestlers will be looking to take the belt from him at all times. This was a good way to get Gronk involved in the storylines in a bigger way.
The former NFL tight end made his first WWE appearance as a host last month and is quickly becoming a bigger part of things.

Tom Dempsey, a longtime NFL kicker who set a league record for longest kick that wasn't eclipsed until 2013, has died after a battle with the coronavirus, his family told The New Orleans Times-Picayune/Advocate. He was 73.

Antonio Brown has locked himself inside his own house in response to his Hollywood, Florida battery investigation.
Brown is a suspect in a battery investigation involving a moving truck worker. His trainer has been taken into custody and charged with battery already, and the police are looking to speak with Brown to gather more information. That's been difficult. Public information officer Christian Lata told reporters that attempts to contact Brown have been unsuccessful because Brown has "locked himself in his house." Lata said the investigation is ongoing and more information will surface. This latest antic further increases the odds that Brown has already played his final NFL snap.

Red, the JAGS are really a WTF team ! Just a few seasons ago, I thought they had really turned a corner and were on the front steps of being a tough contender for....SEASONS !

Jaguars fired Executive VP of Football Operations Tom Coughlin.
Coughlin's three-year stint went poorly and ended on a very sour note with a judge ruling that the Jaguars broke CBA rules when they fined players for various non-football reasons. The NFLPA went as far as advising future free agents to second guess signing with the Jaguars. Coughlin and his team's on-field performance had tanked as well, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Just a few years ago, Jacksonville had one of the top units in the NFL, but they are 29th in defensive DVOA in 2019 and were forced into trading away an elite corner. Now 73, it's certainly possible that Coughlin's days in the NFL are over. He'll eventually retire as a two-time Super Bowl champion.

Really strange FFB season....maybe part/parcel of only
an 8 team league? ONE team pretty much running away
with it....and deservedly so with POINTS FOR: impressive!

And, half the teams staying in top four most of the season.

THEN --- the playoffs BLOW everything out of the water....Ah,
the agony & ecstasy of FFB !
