Anyone paying attention to GV? They've popped from $5.60 to $6.30 in a few weeks with more sparks coming.

hard to explain - I have to figure there is continued dilution going on which would be lame on managements part (you could sell far fewer shares at higher prices if you let it be and ride the hurricane momo you could have had)....they look to be getting business and could be seeing return to last years revenues but dump shares off now?? Trading at 1x revenue is cheap on paper but that often doesn't seem to matter in penny world.

OCLN looks like they were doing better before the US hurricanes came in to the picture. Begining of summer they were 2x as much as they are now WHEN their services are needed.

Thanks but both of those appear to be junk companies no movement and no operations other than an occasional pump headline. I went with GV, take a look! right market at the right time especially this season.

What surprises me as Ive driven around to see Irmas damage is Florida lets their trees grow into the power lines, where other states trim the branches back to keep them from downing wires.

Im just north of Ft Lauderdale right now and Irma is ripping the area a new one. Aside from OCLN, do you know of any other Hurricane plays. Cleanup is always a given.

OCLN one of the rare real/current performing hurricane stocks left on the otc/pink - had 5mil in revenues last year - the real deal right now in Houston and will likely be a major issue for florida as well

LPAD - I just called and their facility is on high ground and despite being near Greens Bayou hasn't had any issues. They actually have employees on site today and have continued to operate in some capacity throughout the storm. The majority of their employees are OK as well.

In anticipation of the storm many of their contractor customers stocked up the week ahead of the hurricane and the person I spoke with said that she anticipates a significant uptick in their sales volumes during the rebuilding phase.

Many Lapolla Industries products have FEMA certification for use which separates them from much of their competition meaning they could have an outsized benefit from the storm.

A research study concluded that Syngar's PLUSWave technology increased ethanol production by an overall average of 26%. The PLUSWave technology optimized the conversion of cellulose to sugars and enhanced ethanol yield. The proposed pilot project will utilize Cellunol Inc.'s proprietary technology to reduce costs and speed the pre-treatment of cellulose materials to form a slurry suitable for fermentation into ethanol.

With the worldwide increase in demand for oil, concern over the environmental impact of the use of fossil fuels and the challenge of sourcing a sustainable crop to provide the cellulose needed for Bio-Fuel fermentation, hemp may very well be part of the solution.

Corn based ethanol is the Bio-Fuel most favored by current United States government subsidies for renewable fuels. When compared to other plant species of active interest in Bio-Fuel production, hemp derives 100% more cellulose than species under active investigation. Production costs for corn-based ethanol is nearly twice that of estimated production costs for hemp derived ethanol. Hemp and its related species provide denser cellulose content than corn, higher sugar content, and derives higher ethanol yields per metric ton at lower costs.

Hemp is found to be a superior cultivar for Bio-Fuel production. Hemp exhibits far superior ethanol yields per unit biomass compared to corn. Pretreatment is necessary to alter the cellular structure of the biomass at hand. Specifically, lignin presents a significant stumbling-block to the fermentation of cellulosic material. Pretreatment procedures are primarily aimed at breaking down lignin. The challenge of stripping lignin from lignin bound cellulosic plant matter is the primary complexity that must be overcome prior to the direct conversion of cellulose to ethanol. In conclusion, Discovery's JV pilot project intends to overcome these challenges and establish a new industry standard for the pre-treatment process of Hemp in Bio-Fuel production.
