Valener Inc. (Valener) focuses on the production, transportation, storage and distribution of energy. The Company’s Energy distribution segment delivers natural gas and electricity to users. Its natural gas transportation segment transports natural gas, generally from the producers to the distributors. Its natural gas storage segment stores natural gas. Its energy services and other segment consist of non- regulated activities related to energy and technology services; the sale, leasing, and maintenance of gas appliances; large-building heating and air conditioning; the leasing and sale of electric water heaters, and diagnostic services. Valener also owns interest in the Seigneurie de Beaupre wind power projects located northeast of the city of Quebec. On May 20, 2011, Gaz Metro Limited Partnership (the Partnership) sold its interest in 3632491 Canada Inc. On December 20, 2010, Valener acquired, through Valener Eole Inc., a 49% interest in Beaupre Eole from Gaz Metro Eole inc.
