The “Lean and Mean” incentive program features a $35K franchise fee for the first location and a $10K franchise fee per additional restaurant on multi-unit agreements for three or more traditional restaurants. Ufood has been open at DFW airport since at least 2010- no news other than Sodexo has plans for opening one at Liberty University in 2016. http://www.liberty.edu/index.cfm?MID=150770&PID=18495. The court is dragging out a ruling on compensation for the attorneys- looks like we have to wait until Aug to read about it- what a joke. "Parties have until 05/29/2015 to file a Request for Redaction with the Court. If no request is filed, the transcript may be made available electronically on 08/7/2015. They just opened up a restaurant last month at DFW airport. Interesting how they're still opening up restaurant considering there bankrupt.

Update: This thing has dragged on for 2 yrs and now lawyers are billing 321K including a generous discount! It's getting to the point that Ch 11 legal fees are more then this company is worth with no end in sight. We'll see what the courts decide.

As CFO for this company, why does she still have a job? On March 12, 2012, the Audit Committee of UFood Restaurant Group, Inc. re-assessed the equity versus liability categorization of the 2009 Investor and Placement Agent Warrants based upon the "indexed to an entity's own stock" criteria specified within ASC 815-40, and concluded that the Warrants should have been classified as a liability upon issuance. This classification change will affect both the balance sheets and statements of operations previously reported by the Company. Press release from Oct 13 is baloney- they are still tied up in court: "UFood Grill announced their emergence from Chapter 11 reorganization on October 4, 2013. The UFood Restaurant Group Inc. And its wholly owned subsidiaries (the “Company”) filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code on December 14, 2012 citing liquidity issues in the face of a slowing economy. Healthy Acquisitions Corp.was the successful bidder of the UFood Grill concept acquiring the UFood Grill brand and related assets.
Healthy Acquisitions Corp.
