http://www.route1.com/home/index.php Support Contact Us Company Solutions Services Products Partners News MobiNET: An Identity and Entitlement Management Solution Overview Benefits Security MobiNET®: An identity and entitlement management solution In today’s hyper-connected environment, identity management and information assurance has never been more important. With new devices, applications and users constantly being introduced to an organization’s network, there are more opportunities for network resources or individual identities to be compromised. Organizations struggle to keep pace with mitigating these threats while empowering employees and customers with new services to maximize productivity wherever they are. What is the Connectivity Challenge? Traditional security and identity management systems require an access mechanism to present a user’s credentials, such as a user name and password, access card, OTP (one-time password) device or an embedded device key. These authentication methods present some challenges because credentials are purpose-specific, meaning that one individual is associated with multiple forms and instances of credentials. Sometimes these credentials are assigned by location or device and therefore have limited portability and distribution options. Credentials are also not universal, requiring multiple designs and implementation of security models which are costly to administer and manage. The result is often a “weak” security solution. Information Assurance How Does Route1 Deliver Information Assurance? Route1 has built the MobiNET infrastructure to address these challenges for organizations of any size. MobiNET is an identity management and service-delivery platform that universally manages the identities of users and entitlement to digital resources. By enforcing universal identity and entitlement management, organizations can ensure the integrity of their data - the burden of securing access is significantly reduced. Then, IT managers can focus on managing what the individual is authorized to "do" or “access” – the authentication component is inherently addressed by MobiNET. MobiNET can then authorize and facilitate secure connections between individuals and their digital resources from anywhere in the world. Support Contact Us Company Solutions Services Products Partners News Information Assurance Solutions for Enterprises Overview Business Needs Industry Enterprise Solutions: Overview Enterprises need information assurance; then providing access is simple Your business environment is changing. There are greater demands on your time. Your work day is shifting. Your employees are no longer situated in one location. The costs of operating your business are rising. The work place is becoming more virtualized. Route1 understands today’s business environment and why you need information assurance. We understand that one of the key drivers is that you and your employees need to take your office with you, where ever you go. The biggest challenge is ensuring a level of security that protects your company’s sensitive data, network and employees from being compromised, especially once data is accessed outside of your corporate network. Route1 maintains that if you can accurately identify users, the burden of securing access is significantly reduced. Route1's solutions offer the components that provide you with the simplicity to access your resources and the security provided by an identity management infrastructure so your business operates seamlessly from anywhere. How does Route1 address business needs? Achieve Your Organizational Goals with Route1 Services * MobiNET®: An identity management and service-delivery platform * TruOFFICE™: Simply and securely access organizational digital resources from anywhere, at any time * PurLINK™: Deliver trusted and secure access to online systems, portals and applications * MobiVDI®: Extend your server consolidation strategy to the desktop Government Solutions: Overview The manner in which government agencies are providing their employees with access to their digital resources - data, files, applications and systems - is evolving. This IT evolution is resulting in new challenges and access scenarios that need to be addressed by federal agencies’ IT managers and security architects. From an IT perspective, the challenge between usability and security is a precarious scale to balance. As employee access requirements change and government mandates for privacy and security are enforced, federal IT administrators are searching for solutions that are simple, secure and cost-effective, yet seamlessly integrate into existing IT infrastructures. The challenge is further complicated by federal agencies being hit with budget cuts, forcing IT administrators to do more or maintain existing access solutions with less financial flexibility. Route1 Helps the Military Meet their Security and Connectivity Challenges Route1 offers security and identity management solutions specifically designed for the military. Conventional weapons’ systems are ineffective in providing adequate defenses as the battlefield moves into cyberspace. Route1 DEFIMNET® (DEFense Identity Management NETwork) is a service delivery platform for identity and entitlement management designed to reside within all levels of classified and unclassified networks. Together with other defense network systems, DEFIMNET is sanctioned for use by military units to command and control confidentiality, integrity and availability. DEFIMNET, as a service-oriented model, is a new approach to providing universal identity and entitlement management, enabling consistent information assurance across commands, services, agencies, platforms and systems. DEFIMNET provides a framework that enables the sharing and exchange of critical, time-sensitive information between military organizations, international coalitions and civilian agencies. It is a clear reflection of agency mandates, such as DISA in the US, to move to an acquisition strategy highly focused on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and pay-per-use services. Meeting Military and Government Needs As the foundation of a defense-in-depth approach, DEFIMNET has been developed to support the requirements of the nation’s military forces, arming them with superior technology to gain power from information, access, and speed. It is an integral component of Net-Centric Warfare, and the information transfer and sharing that is made available by the Internet. DEFIMNET provides the enabling technologies and componentized service delivery mechanisms for key aspects of constructs like FORCEnet, defined by Chief of Naval Operations’ Strategic Study Group XXI as an “…operational construct and architectural framework for Naval Warfare in the Information Age which integrates Warriors, sensors, networks, command and control, platforms, and weapons into a networked, distributed combat force, scalable across the spectrum of conflict from seabed to space and sea to land.” Entitlement-based complex event processing, delivered by DEFIMNET, will become an essential element in orchestrating information dissemination and access across all assets throughout the combat landscape. DEFIMNET is built on a foundation of information assurance through identity management and encryption, and combines with entitlement-based communication to enable access to resources, such as C4ISR systems, from anywhere and at any time. It also provides unification of security across a variety of defense platforms to enable or revoke access to information and intelligence data in the field. Benefits of DEFIMNET * Information integrity based on strong cryptography, identity, and entitlement management * Agile combat support for field command operations * Foundation of defense-in-depth approach * Unification of security and information accessibility To learn how security and identity management can be incorporated into a military IT infrastructure, please contact Route1.
