Welcome to Rodinia Oil Corporation

Rodinia Oil Corp. (TSX VENTURE: ROZ) is a junior oil and gas corporation engaged in the exploration, acquisition and development of world-class onshore petroleum and natural gas assets in Australia's Officer Basin. Founded in 2006, Rodinia is one of the first companies of its kind to undertake onshore exploration in the Officer Basin and has access to 23 million acres of potential oil resources in the region. According to the independent resource-evaluation firm, Ryder Scott Company Consultants Ltd. (Ryder Scott), Rodinia's gross lands contain prospective (recoverable) un-risked, undiscovered resources totalling 125.7 billion barrels of oil. Of this amount, the first 10 drilling locations are estimated to contain 26.2 billion barrels of oil.

Rodinia is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and employs a highly experienced management team and board of directors with expertise in international oil and natural gas exploration and development. Conducting all of their operations in Australia, Rodinia also has an office in Adelaide, Australia and is committed to contributing to the local economy by employing experienced local management, staff and consultants to assist in the development and implementation of the Corporation's exploration projects. Rodinia believes that maintaining strong community, government and industry partnerships in Australia through sound corporate citizenship will be a key element of their overall success.

Rodinia is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under ROZ. For more information, please visit www.sedar.com.

Rodinia was established in 2006 in Calgary, Alberta. Originally founded as Officer Basin Energy, Inc., the company focused on high impact oil and natural gas development in Australia's Officer and Georgina Basins. As one of the first companies of its kind to conduct exploration in Australia's southern and western basins, the company secured substantial early financing to conduct initial geologic and exploration programs in the region. In 2008, Officer Basin Energy was re-named Rodinia Oil Corp., re-aligning its operational strategy to focus on hydrocarbon exploration and development solely in the Officer Basin. According to geological surveys, the Officer Basin has similar geological features with basins in Siberia, Russia and Oman in the Persian Gulf, which possess billions of barrels of light oil reserves.

Today, Rodinia has an estimated 85 per cent working interest in 23 million acres of land containing prospective (recoverable) un-risked, undiscovered resources totaling 125.7 billion barrels of oil.The independent resource-evaluation firm, Ryder Scott Company Consultants Ltd. (Ryder Scott), has estimated that of this amount, the first 10 drilling locations are estimated to contain 26.2 billion barrels of oil.

In May of 2010, Rodinia began trading publicly on the TSX Venture Exchange under ROZ. Rodinia projects drilling to begin in the first quarter 2011 and, with drilling success, production to commence by late 2011.

    Properties of Rodinia

    Rodinia has a well-defined operational strategy designed to identify and exploit the hydrocarbon potential of Australia's under-explored Officer Basin. Focusing on onshore oil and natural gas exploration, Rodinia has identified 10 drilling targets containing an estimated 26.2 billion barrels of prospective (recoverable) un-risked, undiscovered light oil and has extensive future drilling opportunities. Drilling is expected to commence by Q2 2011 and, with drilling success, production is expected to begin in late 2011.

    Resource Potential of the Officer Basin

    The oil and natural gas basins of Australia were created approximately 540 to 800 million years ago (Neoproterozoic) when most of the world's land masses were merged as one supercontinent known as "Rodinia". As a result of the break-up of the supercontinent, the Australian basins share similar geological features with basins in Siberia, Russia and Oman in the Persian Gulf, which possess billions of barrels of light oil reserves. These analogous features include:

    • The existence of Cambrian/Neoproterozoic reservoirs;

    • Similar algal/bacterial source beds;

    • Similar salt structures created by the evaporation of sea water; and

    • Similar salt seals which are ideal for long-term hydrocarbon trapping.

    Australia's Officer Basin covers an area of more than 86.5 million acres in South and Western Australia. Rodinia currently has an approximate 84 per cent working interest in and is the operator of 23 million acres of underexplored land in the region. According to extensive seismic surveys and mining well bores, the Officer Basin has at least two working petroleum systems and several potential oil traps.

Analogue - Siberia, Russia

In the Irkutsk area of the Siberian Basin, reserves of 26 billion barrels of oil and 152 TCF of natural gas have been proved, with additional identified potential of 59 billion barrels. In the Sakha area, reserves of 0.5 billion barrels of oil and 13 TCF of natural gas have been identified and additional potential of 15 billion barrels and 35 TCF of natural gas.

Source rocks in the area are of a similar maturity - Neoproterozoic and Early Cambrian. Geologic indicators of petroleum traps include salt structures - domes, anticlines and walls, and salt seals over inter-bedded reservoirs & sources and some moderate deformation.
