RPT Provides Update on Oil and Gas Exploration Activities

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 8, 2008) -

RPT Uranium Corp. -
("RPT") (TSX VENTURE:RPT - News) announces that it is currently acquiring lease acreage in the Williston Basin in North Dakota with a view to drilling and testing a number of prospective horizons. RPT has engaged Resource Ventures LLC ("Resource Ventures") as an agent to identify and assemble the North Dakota acreage on behalf of RPT. To finance the lease acquisition program, RPT entered into a loan agreement dated September 16, 2008 with Resource Ventures (the "Loan Agreement") to advance up to $2 million in funds to be used exclusively for lease acquisitions. To date, a total of $660,000 has been advanced to Resource Ventures under the Loan Agreement for lease acquisitions. The maximum consideration payable to Resource Ventures for its role as agent in acquiring the leases is $300,000. $150,000 will be paid upon completion of the lease acquisition program. An additional $150,000 will be payable out of the first $300,000 in net profit which may be derived by RPT through exploitation of the acreage. Resource Ventures is a Colorado LLC having as its sole insiders, Richard ("Dick") Findley and Steve Swanson. Mr. Findley is also a director of RPT.

On June 24, 2008, RPT announced a letter of intent with Sage Petroleum LLC ("Sage Petroleum") under which RPT and Sage Petroleum agreed to jointly acquire, finance and explore petroleum and natural gas properties in North America. To date, RPT and Sage Petroleum have reviewed a number of potential oil and gas exploration properties and projects in the Western U.S.A. but have not identified any sustainable acquisitions.

My decision in the past to sell 10,000 NSE at .18 and buy 11,000 RPT at .16 is looking better and better all the time. :) All based on the actual cash positions of the 2 companies. NSE was barely scraping by with 100K to 200K in the bank and RPT has $16,000,000 in their bank account. HUGE DIFFERENCE.

RPT closes 18% higher at .26 UP 4 cents for the day on more than 2 million share trading volume. Interesting day.

Of course, there might be some sell off 'morgen'. But as long as its 2 steps forward and one step back...I can live with that.

All RPT has to do is have the stock at around .40 a share and THEN come out with a substantially positive announcement the stock price EXPLODES UPWARD 100%...200% in a single day.

During that day that's when I distribute 70% of my shares to the marketplace.

My time frame is sometime between now and the start of October for this to happen.

I agree, but I forgot to mention that I ran it through Webbrokers stock screener and the short term was .29 to .31

I know nothing of the company but if i'm not mistaken, if they have property and are a mining company do they not own all the minerals found weatherit's silver,gold. crome etc?
If they do they can explore for uranium and pay the expense out of the other minerals found,,,,,,,,,I know a few others that operate in that mannor.

RPT has been too focused on just finding very high grade uranium instead of spreading out in a multi commodity exploration/promotion position.

NYBOB...I had a telophone talk with Brad Baker (the son of Nelson Baker who is the acting President of RPT Uranium).

He told me that there will be more management changes (getting rid of the inflexible thinkers) and they are very well aware of other companies rewarding their shareholders with huge price gains simply by staking and being awarded permits for large blocs of land that are highly prospective for phosphates, coal and other commodities.

BOB, RPT is a much stronger stock than Northern Sun simply because RPT has $16 million in the bank and Northern Sun has very little.... maybe a couple hunded thousand in the bank. In other words RPT has at least 80 times more money than Northern Sun.

Within the next 90 days, RPT should finally start rewarding its shareholders with higher share prices. As a shareholder who has held this stock for more than 2 years, I am more than ready to cheer! :)

RPT Uranium to Drill Promising New Uranium Target
in Sibley Basin -

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 17, 2007) -

Dr. Hikmet Akin, President of RPT Uranium Corp. -
(TSX VENTURE:RPT), is pleased to announce that the Company
has commenced a 2500-metre diamond drilling program on
the Frazer Creek uranium zone on its Malborne Lake claim
block near the southeastern margin of the Sibley basin
north of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Uranium mineralization is exposed over a 35 metre by 25 metre
area, and the first eight grab samples to be analysed
averaged 0.242% U3O8. Assays of additional samples with
higher levels of radioactivity have not yet been received.

The Frazer Creek zone has been mechanically stripped over
an area measuring 110 metres by 70 metres.
It has exposed three separate uranium-bearing zones, of
which the largest measures 35 metres in an east-west
direction, parallel to the strike of the host rocks,
by 25 metres in a north-south direction.
The zone disappears under heavy overburden to the south and
east.
It terminates abruptly at its west side against a fault,
which is believed to represent the channel that allowed
mineralizing solutions to permeate the rock.
Uranium is found on hematized fractures in an Archean
metasediment, which is the basement rock underlying
the Proterozoic age Sibley sediments that have been
removed by erosion in this area.

Preliminary analyses have been received for eight grab
samples which were analysed at Accurassay Laboratories
in Thunder Bay by ICP.
Uranium contents varied from 0.076% to 0.400% U3O8, with
an average of 0.242% U3O8. Additional samples that
exceeded Accurassay's permitted radiation levels were
sent to Loring Laboratories of Calgary for assay.
Results have not yet been received for these samples.

In addition to the Frazer Creek uranium occurrence,
stripping is continuing on two similar, newly discovered
uranium zones, 300 metres and 400 metres respectively to
the north of the Frazer Creek zone.
These other zones lie on the strike extension of the
fault that appears to control the uranium zone at
Frazer Creek.

To date, 14 separate radioactive occurrences have
been identified on the Malborne Lake claim block.
They form a 4-kilometre long trend that parallels
topographic features believed to represent fault structures.
Mineralization in the Malborne Lake area, unlike that at
the Split Rapids zone 30 kilometres to the northwest,
appears to be controlled only by structure, and is
not associated with a specific rock type.

An airborne radiometric-magnetic-electromagnetic survey of
the Malborne Lake claims and the recently staked Dorion
claim block, is currently underway.
