The IP portfolio of PureDepth® is arguably the strongest and most extensive on Multi-layer Displays™ and includes a comprehensive Software platform traversing both pre-rendered and live content, a patent-applied for Mobile capability, and numerous aspects of multi-layer effects and capabilities whether deployed on multi or single layer displays.

With its patents covering the United States, Europe, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and smaller markets worldwide, PureDepth® has established itself as an innovator in the 3-D and visualization space. Since its inception, the company has maintained a rigorous intellectual property strategy, developing an extensive portfolio of patented technologies, including its trademark Multi-Layer Display™ (MLD®) technology. As PureDepth® continues to expand its product development and licensing strategies, a broader range of platforms will be available to meet the consumers demands in mobile, public display, gaming and other visual displays - a new dimension in visualization.

Recent Breakthroughs

Our recent breakthroughs, further technology development and technology roadmap have been and continue to be focused on all content types working on Multi-Layer Display™ and have been captured by a specific "Platform" patent filing. It covers an even more powerful Platform for content with mapping of any content type to any display methodology. The Multi-Layer Display™ Platform is created by patented depth technology with the real value unleashed through software and imaging "secret sauce" and is fully complimentary to all existing OS platforms.

The overall 3-D market has started to "sizzle" with catalysts such as the release of the movie "Avatar" and with major brands launching 3-D TVs, Blu-Ray players and standards. The 3-D market is projected to be a $15.8 billion market in 2015 with 95% average annual growth rate (CAGR) from now until 2015. The 3-D display market is expected to take 9.2% market share in 2015. Additionally, mobile devices with 3-D displays have been launched are also expected to become popular by 2018 with forecasted sales of 71 million units.

The mobile market offers particularly interesting opportunities for MLD® technology because of its massive size and quick pace of innovation. Mobile devices are launching into the market with 3-D technology. The requirements for 3-D in the mobile market are:

No Glasses
Ability to Interact for Hours Without Eye Strain or Fatigue
No Sweet Spot

PureDepth® is the creator of Multi-Layer Display® (MLD®) technology, which provides real depth when viewing visual content. The company's technology also supports traditional stereoscopic 3-D and enhances two-dimensional content with incredible color and contrast.

Backed by over 100 granted and pending patents, PureDepth® develops, licenses and supports its technology with partners, including OEMs and developers, to bring cutting-edge visual display products to market. The company's technology can be used to enhance an array of advanced electronic displays, including mobile devices, casino games, amusement games, public information displays and more.
