I have been trying to study level 2 I have noticed maxm on ask 8.00 puts a lot of resistance as soon as I see that I pull out. I was watching AXX@A one of the MM's was covering at the end of the day they were coming in at the end of the day on the bid Cant remember the mm but at the time I googled it. Was wondering if anyone has a method on buy and sell on level 2 been a bit since I day traded. I do great when I'm not greedy but kinda just guessing on when to pull out.
I was studying with spare time today instead of trading-trying to harpin my skill a bit more and came across your post from 2009.lols I know many moons ago right? well I agree with most of your accessments on those MM's but wonder why you left nite as only a wholeseller?I use to do the sme because when I see a fidelity trade I entered go thru it shows up as NITE a lot...I am wondering what your thoughts are on thi article that sort of ays he ismuh more than that.....Her it is an thks have a great day buddy..>>>http://www.penny-stock-brokers.org/mm-nite-shorting/
Re: float, outstanding shares and authorized shares ...
Very good point regarding dilution (5 Billion plus authorized shares). Find and contact the transfer agent directly, especially when the purported authorized shares are inconsistent with SEC filings. goto: www.otcmarkets.com under company profile tab, Security Details.
Be wary of claims of grandeur by companies (bold type below) - Since you have previously linked to vantillian's famous Axioms of Penny Stock Investing, please consider adding your post with them.
Thanks!

Yes, float, outstanding shares and authorized shares are all very important when looking at a stock, ESPECIALLY when news in involved. Share price history/behavior is also important as it relates to past news and dilution situations.
But imo, the most important things to look for in a penny stock?
Whether the transfer agent is GAGGED(ALWAYS BAD!) and message board activity and hype and which posters are doing the posting. You will have to get to know the players on here and who is (and there are MANY) involved in pump and dumps and move from stock to stock. Look at the past week's activity, and make sure you don't buy at the end of a run!
Be wary of claims of grandeur by companies, posters etc. Sorry, but a .0005 s/p pinky company is NOT going to get a $250,000,000 contract with the government. A .01 tech pinky company is NOT going to bought for .50 a share by Google. A giddy poster who valuates a .03 pinky with fancy breakdowns of numbers is NOT going to be valued at $2.00 a share. A poster who claims he's buying boatloads more of a .005 stock after it runs from .005 to .02 and crashes back down to .005 after news, is lying! LOL, you'll see this all the time.
Use common sense, buy and sell appropriately, and you can and will make money.
You should use this board as well for DD:

KNOW YOUR MARKET MAKERS!! LOOK:
How To Spot Dilution
Once you learn how to use L2 dilution is very easy to spot. Always pay attention to who is on the ask. If it is just NITE or UBSS then most likely you won't see any manipulation. If you see PERT, VFIN, VERT or cosmetic MM's, know that they are the #1 diluters in the market. Cosmetic MM's are special MM's used by the company to help hide dilution from less learned traders. Some of them are PUNK, MERRI and VNDM. Sometimes it's easier to use them then the well known one's like VERT. If you are watching L2 and one of the diluters are there you will see massive volume on the ask but it will not UT on your stock, it's because they have a certain amount of shares to sell and will not move until they are gone.
You might think it's all buys but they are masked due to selling on the ask since they will come up green instead of red. Another thing here also is you can have millions bought on the ask and then it down ticks, posters will say MM manipulation but what is going on is it down ticked because the OS has gotten bigger due to VERT and others selling shares on the ask.
Here is a list of some of the more famous Market Makers (MM's)
Big Shorters: JIMK, POND, GNET or ARCA (anyone can use GNET, even other MMs because it's an ECN).
Wholesalers: ETRD, HRZG, MASH, NITE, SHWB, UBSS
Top Retail Dilutors: ACAP, AGIS, BAMM, BMIC, CHIG, CLYP, FANC, FRAN, JIMK, MAYF, MERRI, NATL, PERT, PUNK, SACM, UCAP, VERT, VFIN
Does this post still hold for 2015 or does it need and Update..??!!

2. Remember all the trading behavior, tips, insights and experiences and always apply.
3. Get better daily at doing my own due diligence. Become a Reverse Merger Specialist
4. Keep as many “eyes” open at all times ie twitter, chat, hunt, .0001, bb, etc- the more eyes the more opportunities at the optimal time.
5. Utilize “outside the market” tools such as manifestation, intuition, new moon energy manifestation and intuition increase.
6. Believe, Belong, Become
7. Always set preliminary sells as soon as buy executed
8. Stay humble trade forever

14. Utilize my memory and mind to remember patterns and be quick to act on any material market events ie change of tempo/volume, etc.

hi lazyeye. been very busy. lot of pinks be doing well this year.
okay thanks a lot for ur help.
Can you quote an example of a good float, outstanding shares and authorized shares? How u define that as a stock worth investing based on float, outstanding shares and authorized shares ?
Is iHub the only message board activity for penny stocks?
Is there any good sites for penny stocks? thanks

PSWR this company is attending a Tradeshow in March in Vegas and the CEO is going to speak . This company is kinda under the radar IMO.

thks man... btw, what to look out for in a stock? example float, Outstanding shares, etc...
Sorry i very new to this...
Hi, and sorry, but the only pointer I can give you is not to buy ANY penny stock with money you cannot afford to lose. Other than that, you'll have to be brave, smart and lucky. In general, be very careful about putting your money into heavily promoted stocks, and while there are many good joe's here on Ihub, watch your back as not everyone is what they seem (you know, wolf in sheep's clothing kinda stuff).
There are a few hundred posts on this board that you can learn many things from. It's all here.
GLTY
hi i am new to penny stock, can teach me a few pointers? do u have msn? thanks
GREAT resource site:
http://www.authorized-shares.com/
RELM- Let this be a lesson to ALL readers on our board! RELM, is a pinky getting a lot of board action starting a few days ago with posts by Dream, a big time Ihubber with lots of followers. And just yesterday an alert by OTCpicks went out (see stockreads.com as it is an invaluable resource).
Me personally? With all due respect to Dream, I think RELM is just a smoke and mirrors scam, with a scam website. But that's ONLY my opinion. But did I buy RELM yesterday?
YOU BET!
Why? Because of the "flow" of the board and the tips we have brought up here regarding that, the alert by otcpicks, and the bit of buzz.
Result? I'm out already, and made a little over $1,500.
If it goes to .03 eventually like some on the board think it will (currently at .003), that's ok, and I hope they are still in it.
I'm happy with the trade and I'm ready for the next target stock.

Just remember it's a crapshoot no matter what. You'll either make big money, or you won't make any. You have to be in the right stock at the right time.
Question...what is the advantage of being a stock holder of a company that is doing a reverse merger? TA
Good information to review by Dan Zanger (Technical Stock Analyst 10 Golden Stock Rules)
http://chartpattern.com/10_golden_rules.html
In addition to these 10 rules, please see notes below: And if you are new to trading or investing please see the paragraphs with the * at the bottom.
1. Make sure the stock has a well formed base or pattern such as one described on this web site and can be found on the tab "Understanding Chart Patterns" on the home page, before considering purchase. Dan highlights stocks with these patterns in his newsletter.
2. Buy the stock as it moves over the trend line of that base or pattern and make sure that volume is above recent trend shortly after this "breakout" occurs. Never pay up by more than 5% above the trend line. You should also get to know your stock's thirty day moving average volume, which you can find on most stock quote pages such as eSignal's quote page.
3. Be very quick to sell your stock should it return back under the trend line or breakout point. Usually stops should be set about $1 below the breakout point. The more expensive the stock, the more leeway you can give it, but never have more than a $2 stop loss. Some people employ a 5% stop loss rule. This may mean selling a stock that just tried to breakout and fails in 20 minutes or 3 hours from the time it just broke out above your purchase price.
4. Sell 20 to 30% of your position as the stock moves up 15 to 20% from its breakout point.
5. Hold your strongest stocks the longest and sell stocks that stop moving up or are acting sluggish quickly. Remember stocks are only good when they are moving up.
6. Identify and follow strong groups of stocks and try to keep your selections in the these groups
7. After the market has moved for a substantial period of time, your stocks will become vulnerable to a sell off, which can happen so fast and hard you won't believe it. Learn to set new higher trend lines and learn reversal patterns to help your exit of stocks. Some of you may benefit from reading a book on Candlesticks or reading Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns, by Bulkowski.
8. Remember it takes volume to move stocks, so start getting to know your stock's volume behavior and the how it reacts to spikes in volume. You can see these spikes on any chart. Volume is the key to your stock's movement and success or failure.
9. Many stocks are mentioned in the newsletter with buy points. However just because it's mentioned with a buy point does not mean it's an outright buy when a buy point is touched. One must first see the action in the stock and combine it with its volume for the day at the time that buy point is hit and take keen notice of the overall market environment before considering purchases.
10. Never go on margin until you have mastered the market, charts and your emotions. Margin can wipe you out.
Note: If you are new to trading or investing, I suggest reading these rules many times over until they become ingrained so you can act without emotions.
Stocks that breakout and move up with tremendous volume and close near the highs of the day seem to work out best. However many stocks that move up 15% or more on breakout day often fail. You'll just have to watch your stock's action like a hawk and get to see and understand these things over a long period of time. If trading were easy everyone would be making millions. It's not; it takes years and years of hard work and long hours.
Many traders employ a half hour rule, meaning that for the first half hour of the day many traders do not buy any stock that gaps up in price. If the price holds after the first half hour then often many traders will step in a buy the stock. I find this rule works good after the market has moved up for few strong weeks and is not very effective at the start of a new strong move.
If it's earnings season then it's an absolute must that you know the date that your company reports its earnings. Many traders prefer to be out 100% before a company reports its earnings in case the company misses its earnings or guides lower. Others I know reduce positions substantially before earnings are released to lower risk. The choice is up to you. You can see an earnings calendar on this web site by clicking on the icon Useful Stock Recourses. Please verify this information by calling the company or visiting the company's website which you should be able to find in any search engine.
*The market moves in waves that can last anywhere from weeks to months. Then a correction or setback starts, which can last anywhere from 5 to 8 weeks or even as long at 4 to 6 months. If you are starting a free trial and are a novice you may be lucky to join just as the market gets underway, in which case you will see the full power of charting. If however you start after the move has been going for sometime then things won't look as good as traders are paring down positions. Or even worse the market could be selling down hard and working off the prior up move in which case you will be completely discouraged. The power of charts is through waiting for the correction to end whereby the chart patterns will then be fully developed. After weeks of base or pattern building, stocks will begin to lift off and that's when the big rewards come in. The question is, are you willing to wait and be here for the start of the next big move? The biggest mistake a novice can make is to come back after a move has started.
Any takers on this one that I mentioned? 12/25 price: $2.12
Today's close: $2.77
Pretty good move from 3 weeks ago. Looking for $3-$4.
Thank You lazyeye

How to play LOW FLOATS: via Hunt for Next 5-10 Bagger Ugotstocks/Mr. Bigz (original posting at 12.30 910AM)
Must Read Post
Hello everyone.
Just thought I would write a little blurb about how to trade stocks that have low floats.
First off, buy at the ASK. The seller at the ASK has a certain amount of shares to sell and until, or unless, those shares are bought the stock will not move up.
i.e. Joe retail investor bought shares and now wants to sell. He places a sell order at 0.04 to sell 40,000 shares. They sit there until his\her order is filled. If they sit there long enough without getting filled, there is a good chance this seller will lower his sell order price thus lowering the ASK.
You are buying a stock because you think it is going to go up, so hitting the ASK gives you the best chance of keeping the momentum going, and the ASK and share price moving up.
If people BID sit, the MM's see all those orders sitting there and will move the ASK down to fill them if there is not alot of action on the ASK, which can be the case in low floaters. This defeats the purpose of why you want to enter the stock in the first place. These BID sitters that want to buy in the stock are actually contributing to changing the upward momentum and potentially causing a retrace or reversal of trend.
With a low float, if a few people start selling on the BID, it starts to cause panic in other shareholders as they see the BID\ASK start to drop, so they start bid whacking as well, and we all know what happens then.
OK, so now let's assume you decided to buy into low floater and you have slapped the ASK and your order has now been filled.
Right away you should determine at what price or prices you want to sell or take profits based on whatever method you use, whether it be a certain percentage gain, a certain price value, and\or key resistance points on a chart.
Now is the time to place those sell orders. The reason is that one, you will be at the front of the line to get filled, since your sell order has been placed well in advance of everyone else, and two your orders will already be sitting there at the ASK when the price moves to this price level you have set your sell order, so you will be selling at the ASK and thus eliminating the need to BID whack.
If things do not work out as you had planned, or if you think you should change the price to a higher or lower amount, it is easy enough to go and change the sell price on your order and still get filled on the ASK.
Defensive Mindset to have with Pinks (Cisco Trader Hunt for Next 5-10 bagger board)
Most pinks, I don't believe 99% of what the Co.'s say... They can say just about whatever they want. As long as they have the "looking forward statement" at the end giving them their disclosure...
The AMLJ website was very recently updated. In the investor FAQ it states the following about starting additional shifts:
Q.The company commented on the large production potential of the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) market. How does AML plan to address increases in production levels associated with large programs?
A.The company has made significant investments in automation. Automation has been used extensively during this FY to reach a new high in production levels. Recently we introduced a second shift and are in process of training a third shift.
http://www.amlj.com/investors.html#
PFOB, Heard the same.
Played this a month or so ago, when it gets ANY pressure at all, it moves fast. I think the float they quote on the board is right. If it gets volume, its gone. I have a small position left, but, I'll be adding, and if I see volume in excess of normal, I'll buy heavy.
PFOB...lots of rumors from boardmembers....only a handful of people on the board but seem to have more and more following as evidenced by increase of boardmarks last 24 hours...one poster claims father runs a hedge fund and is now involved...a r/m candidate with a few saying it's a done deal and a clean shell.
I looked at this stock yesterday...I did not buy any though...
Today: Up 60% on about 400K shares...
a GREAT example of how you should look at the "flow" of a board and its members...
This stock had all the earmarks of a jump occurring today,
and it did.
The question is, will it continue or slide back down to 2's?
THIS IS A BOARD TO SHARE INVESTING AND LEARNING TIPS. IT IS NOT A STOCK TIP BOARD. DO NOT SPAM OR ADVERTISE YOUR INDIVIDUAL PICKS, AND DO NOT COPY/PASTE NEWS. IF YOU LIKE A STOCK BASED ON PRINCIPLES LEARNED AND USED HERE, STATE YOUR STOCK, AND REFERENCE THE TIP AND LINK TO THAT BOARD!
Example post: I like ABCD! Just came out with news, low float, good volume and that board is getting a lot of new members and a search for the symbol shows tremendous interest. No paid promotion going on, and level 2 is very thin!
JBII = SEXIEST STORY STOCK I'VE EVER SEEN
Massive breakout to happen soon IMO. Here's why:
(1) JBII is currently undergoing third party valuation with a national lab (used by the refineries) for their revolutionary waste plastic and tires to fuel that produces oil at less than $10/barrel. It may seem too good to be true but with the third party valuation complete shortly? All bets are off. There will be an all out media blitz like something you've never seen before IMO
"Big P2O works - it's a done deal. We needed a second set of eyes to validate the processor for mass rollout and safety (and bragging rights) which will allow us to promote P2O in the mainstream news."
~~John Bordynuik, CEO of JBII, 12/1/09
(2) CEO is a highly credibility world famous celebrity that has worked with Paul Allen, co-founder of MSFT, is sole-sourced for the core business by NASA, contracted with the UN, US army, MIT, Harvard, major oil companies -- here's an independent magazine article on this genius:
http://www.niagarathisweek.com/news/article/84243
From the above article on the CEO John Bordynuik: Before attending Brock University in 1989, he told his bank he found $1.2 million in his account after he transferred it there through bank machines using a flaw in the bank's computer program. "Honest John," as the headlines called him, returned every cent even though he fought for nearly a week with bank officials who were saying the money was indeed his.
12/9/09 Interview (a must listen!!)
http://www.wallstreetreporter.com/2009/12/jbi-inc-otc-bb-jbii-ceo-interview/
Conference Call:
thanks lazyeye i will take that advice as i learn.
Two sites to check to see some stocks currently being promoted:
http://stockpromoters.com/
http://stockreads.com/
Barking about naked shorting on any stock board imo based on experience is cause to run, not walk, RUN from investing in a stock. 99.999% of the time it's all nonsense, and company dilution is usually the #1 culprit with more coming.
Same is true when you start seeing NOBO lists or cert calls bandied about in posts. Usually a last ditch effort by bagholders looking to entice newbs or to keep other bags feeling better about their losses.
Let's put it this way: It may have happened to a few, but I have never seen a stock, when naked short conspiracies, MM conspiracies, nobo lists, board share count crap, or stock certificate call in ideas, do anything other than drop further from their highs, and ever recover.
ROIAK ROUND 2 = Fist-Pounding No-Brainer over the next several months/quarters IMO
Earned +.22 EPS last Q (plus a +.03 one-time gain) which around DOUBLE the EPS of the sequential quarter just prior! Annualized = +.88 -- trades right now with an annualized PE of less than 4! Book value close to $5/share. Seems like the stock should be trading at $5-7 right now. With any improvement in the economy and the ad rates for radio, ROIAK could end up becoming a cash-making machine in 2010. Also they are consistently paying down large portions of their debt which will continue to reduce interest expense and add directly to the bottom line.
this very interesting to know thanx. i'll read more.
ecga
Happy new year Mick and ECGA is not a shell . Makes the most money out of any sub. For three months ended september 2009 net sales of $22 million 974k . with a profit of $6 mil-454k from that revenue. With CASH AND CASH EQUIVALENTS AT END OF PERIOD of $4 million 849 thousand. Only problem is 13 billion outstanding with about a six billion float. But they did have a buyback within the last year or so of about 3 billion . This stock can move as chart indicates in the past. Just needs the volume over 250 million to start tipping the scale. Maybe like before there has been accumulation for a company buyback. Weather or not this is the case , the chart imo, is ready for a bigger move than before. 13 billion os at .01 cents is 130 million street value. .001 gives it a value of a measly 13 million. Company has about 90 million a year in revenue and 4-5 million cash and is and has been reducing its debt. I "feel" that a targeted goal of value for ECGA should be .005 which would be slightly under correct market value. .005 equates to 65 million MK .
imo, street should give this a bigger value.......... 6.5 million value at .0005 ?? WOW still too low for me and have a feeling i will hold this until .0015 at least. Maybe more if money flow and momentuem indicates otherwise.

EPEXQ possible HUGE PLAY HERE....
So the deal is going through tommorrow....December 31st 2009....It is the END of the fiscal year for EPEXQ.... They are selling MOST I repeat MOST of there assets to Mainer....
Deal is worth about 220 Million.... you can see what is in the agreement what EPEXQ is selling off for restructure...
I came across something intresting.... EPEXQ has a reserve of natural Gas of 124 billion cubic meters.... and possibly more... This gas is not in the sale agreement... if this is true then epex will be worth alot when they come out of restucture... right now Natural gas is 5.70 this gives epexq about 730 million dollars of reserves that they are keeping....
when I saw this I went to check on CNBC.com ...I checked the ownership.... and sure enough...Looks like those who owned epexq already have added more....as of DEC 30 2009 all the institutions and mutual fund holders have bought more epexq....
something big is brewing keep your eye on this stock...

“If you want to reach a state of bliss, then go beyond your ego and the internal dialogue. Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge. Those are the three things the ego is doing all the time. It's very important to be aware of them every time they come up.”
