I'm sticking to 1/2 marathons. I did a full last year, but the train up and actual run was, imo, to much. I think 1/2s fit my time/style better.

Now, my wife is a junkie when it comes to running, lol.

Good Morning, I Wasn't Sure If Anyone Acutally Read This Board.. Get to finally get some interest..

I would love to get some ideas on information you would like to read here..

I've completed two ironman distance triathlons and a wealth of shorter distances...I have tons of tips and suggestions to help make your experience "easier" and less stressful...

sadly i didnt make it to Arizona this April..to make a long life story short, I bought a new house and relocated closer to my children, I had to decide what was more important, a seemingly easy decision...over six months of heavy training, and years of dreaming about returning to the "arena", along with Major sacrifice...the timing just wasn't right..

Ironman is not just a race, its a Way Of Life, a mindset, a huge sacrifice for the racer, their family and friends...it takes time and patience...

99% of the race is getting to the starting line...a Cliche` not understood until one acutally ebarks on such an endeavor

Did you finish your Ironman? Any training tips?

I did a marathon last December- last 6 miles was grueling, lol.
