Hello Lilac, I created this board then left it a long time ago. iHub L2 was having problems that day, but the problems have since been correctd.. Here is a link that might help for future problems with L2.. Hope this helps next time
http://investorshub.advfn.com/IH-ADVFN-Streamer-&-Level-II-Q&A-Board-8689/
I cannot get L2 to pull up on IHUB -- it was working fine the other day and don't know what is preventing it from pulling up. When I click L2, this little spinning icon keeps showing....if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it or I'll have to use some other L2 and not renew with IHUB again.
Howzer sorry about the slow response, I have seen that a IH Adms has helped you
Yes sir indeed ..... we'll do !
Thank you again...that utility also helped with two other programs that were giving me a hard time...just deleted them with the "clean up utility" and then rebooted and reinstalled!
On the Adobe..I got rid of the reader 8.1.0 and installed the reader 9...working good now
Might be a utility to put Up in the box?
Didn't see that message before I sent you the link ....
Same fix as the one you've found !!! It can also be fixed by removing any Adobe Registry Entries using regedit but much simpler ...
Have fun !
Thank You..I had just found that and it worked...see my prior post!
Try this :
Download the... Windows installer clean up utility. Run the exe file to install it. When you've done that click on start > all programs and click on the installer tool. You'll be presented with a list of installed programs. Look for , and highlight , any entries related to Adobe Reader and click the remove button. Once complete reboot your pc and try a fresh download / install

I'm able to receive e-mails from certain I-hub boards but not from others. Where would I start out to find the answer?
Need more info !!!
Which Adobe Product are you trying to install ?
InDesing, InCopy ?
Can you also post the full error message you're getting...
Dan

any thoughts??
tia
Learning, i have not checked on the board for a while, been very busy, but run the scan again and do not try to repair it or quarantine it, but click on the virus shown and it will take you to a website that will tell you how to repair it and what type of virus it is and what risk it is. Also, when you try to delete the virus you must disable your system restore before you delete it then reboot and delete, then empty your recycle bin.... run another scan to see if that virus has spreaded to another file, if so, delete it too, empty recycle bin then run another scan... after the scan quits picking up the virus then enble the system restore.... Hope this helps.... reply for instructions to disable system restore if you do not know how to. Also, if you make a post to me or ddt just click on an older post and reply to it that way when we log on to iHUB i will see your post.
edit:
Ok i have just seen that Dan "ddt" has helped you... good job!
If you get stuck, check out this board...

Working on it ... MSN Me !
Ok geek freaks....got one for you since you look board here....I ran the Virus cd that you gave me Benz, yesterday, this popped up:
-Norton found 1 infected file
-File repair failed
-Item
M3SRCHMN.EXE and its underlined
-Virus name: Downloader (underlined)
-Status: Repair failed (in red)
-It then says " We recomend letting us quarantines all in fected files" so I hit the quarentine button, it then comes up quarentine failed, "we recomend you let us delete the infected files" so I hit delete, It then comes up "you have not elliminated all virus's, there is still one infection remaining.
I have run it 3 times, same results
Thanks Guys
Nope ... Leaving soon. Shower & then I go !!!
I added RealPlayer to the iBox also.. But i think Windows Media Player is the best of all of them. You already back from that party?... that was fast....lol
Thanks for the Added support DDT.
Sounds like you are have a cookie problem, better run a virus scan, like i said i will be glading to mail you a copy of Norton. Try to do a system restore back to a date before all of this starting happening. Click your "START" button on the left bottom desktop tool bar. Then "All Programs", from there "accessories" then "System Tools" then "System Restore". Select a date before this starting happing and restoe to that date. If you have a virus this will only be a temporary fix if any.
Yesterday my secure sites used to open with log in name already there and only issue was with non secure sites like IHUB and several others where site used to remember my log in name. Since this my home computer, therefore I am not afraid that any body else will will mess up with my log in.
But today I'm back to square one and every secure and non secure site need to type in complete log in name and password to access a site. It was not like this before and I face this for last couple of weeks.
Explain exactly what is happening again, please in specific details?. Also i would be glad to make a copy of a Norton antivirus program for you and mail it to you, it will only cost me about 75 cents so i don't mind doing this.
Do u mean clean OS OR reinstall it? I have no idea how to clean OS. However by reinstalling means whole existing files and data will be erased. To avoid that I need to save all my existing files in separate disks. That is a little lengthy procedure since my system has not yet stalled.
About anti virus scan. I will appreciate if u recommend any sites for anti virus.
It's possible you have viruses that have corrupted files... you might have to do a clean OS install, or run a antivirus scan
Thank u RB. I did find it now but I tell u this that Yesterday I did unchecked 'override automatic cookie handling'. Today I was not able to go back to this page. Anyway thank u for your guidance.
When you're in the internet option and in the privacy page, click on "advance" in the middle of the page and it will take you to a page to were you can check or uncheck the overide automatic cookie handling
Windows xp
Which OS do you have?
It is shame but I was not able to locate the option where it ask, 'override cookie handling'. However I slide the bar down.
Yes it has already start working for my bank sites and also for other un secure sites. I have not changed my log in information for a long time. I think now I should do it.
Also when you're in the internet privacy uncheck the overide cookie handling then go back to the main privacy page and slide the bar down to accept all cookies and see what happens.
If you are able to log in, then no hack, but a hack can still happen and they will not change your log in name and password and you can still log in. I would rule out the hack though. Have you recently changed your log in name and password? Which sites are these?
'RenBnz' thanks a lot. I have check the privacy internet setting. It is check mark for 'over ride automatic cookie handling.' As for as hacking of the site is concern, I have not yet felt any difficulty in logging into my site with my old log ins and pass words. Is it not that after hacking the original log in and password do not work any more?
Also there is a possiblity that someone has hacked your account and changed your log in name or/and password
If you're having a problem accessing secure sites, try deleting your cookies or Temporary Internet files or do a disk clean up. Or in your OS go to "My computer" then click on "Control panel" then click on "Internet properties" top bar click the privacy tab and look at the setting for internet Zone, where is the setting?
For last couple of days I'm facing a problem about loging into my secure sites. Usually I used to save my log in name for such site and type my pass word and get into the site. But no more and every time I had to type in my log in and that is some time my debt card # for each site and that is time consuming. Even I tick the instruction for computer, for not to ask that question but it fails to comply. It happens to all secure and non secure sites. Any body has any solution to this problem. I'm sure if it would be one site, that could be solved by calling that particular company to sort it out. But it some thing with my computer.
I think it will only upload JPEG & GIF files but will not upload a BMP file. Maybe your file is to big if it is a JPEG or GIF. Just copy and paste it into the post once it's uploaded
Thanks, I've been working on that, can never get it to work. I'm going to try it again later today
Thanks for Visiting!

Stay away from sites that offer free codes or serial #s to activate a paid program that is a trial program that you did not pay for, there is a 99.9% chance of picking up a virus.
If you use Limewire or any file sharing sites to download songs or videos, songs and videos most likely do not contain a virus. But if you use it for downloading programs or a serial# & codes or any other files, do not download it, most likely a virus will come with that download.
