The Radio Frequency and Automotive segment provides frequency and analog circuits for the telecommunications, automotive, and industrial markets, as well as application specific products for the automotive industry. The company sells its products directly to original equipment manufacturers; and indirectly to distributors through manufacturers’ representatives, or through national and regional distributors. Atmel Corporation was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in San Jose, California.
