A pair of Viz Trio Character Generator systems were purchased by ALFACAM. The systems were used in two of ALFACAM’s many OB-trucks. Viz Trio offers 2D and 3D character generation and allows an operator to create seamless context-enabled graphics, making it ideal for sporting events.
“We had an immediate need to cover events surrounding the summer games and knew we needed to upgrade our graphics systems in our trucks,” said Gabriel Fehervari, CEO of ALFACAM. “We sought out a Vizrt solution – because we knew their graphics are the best complement to the top quality video we are known for producing.”
ALFACAM is equipped with a large fleet of 34 OB vans. Of those, 24 operate in HDTV. The company is responsible for more than 2500 productions per year, more than half of which are sports related.
Viz Trio is a powerful yet cost-effective real-time 2D/3D character generator. It offers a feature-rich 3D design system for the creation of true 3D graphics and animations. In addition to basic CG functionality, a set of advanced features supply the operator with complex graphical and operational possibilities. Great company! Started from scratch 12 years ago. Worked for them a little bit through school.

Look at the now with all those High Definition van 'OB2' doing media events all over the world. Last one was the Olympic games in China. Revenue still needs to be release on that last part.

I expect the profitability will increase and the shareprice will take off.
